Hypnotherapy

I am a professionally qualified individual fellow and registered member of the National Hypnotherapy Society.  I offer hypnotherapy in Horsham to help with anxiety, confidence, habits, phobias and other challenges.  Hypnotherapy uses guided relaxation and focused attention to support positive change in a safe and supportive way.

Individual fellow registered with the National Hypnotherapy Society, Helen Taylor.

Hypnotherapy is not like stage hypnosis; it is a gentle yet powerful therapeutic approach that uses guided relaxation to help you access your subconscious mind. In this deeply relaxed state, you can explore thoughts, feelings, and patterns that may be holding you back.

I can support you to reach your goals by suggesting new ways of behaving, for example by not carrying on a certain habit or I can help you look at a situation or an experience from a safe, relaxed and calm space.

Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or looking to create change in a specific area of your life, hypnotherapy can help you reconnect with your inner resources and move forward with greater ease.

Hypnotherapy can help with anxiety and stress by supporting you to find methods of relaxation and by accessing the subconscious mind to find root causes.

Sometimes events have stimulated anxiety, and we can work together to support your body and mind to reduce symptoms.

Other difficulties such as low self-confidence or self-esteem, sleep difficulties, emotional overwhelm, trauma and past experiences etc can be worked with in this way.

Habits and unwanted behaviours are commonly worked with such as phobias, blushing, over-eating etc. Motivation, creativity and personal growth can also be worked with to support improvement by making suggestions under hypnosis and unlocking your potential.

It isn’t about being “under” or losing control it’s about working together in a focused and relaxed state. You remain in control at all times.

You can find tools, tips and supportive posts where I explain more about hypnotherapy on my facebook page: Creatively Dreaming Therapy, with Helen Taylor.

What to Expect

Our sessions begin with a conversation to explore what’s going on for you and what you’d like to change. I’ll then work with you to reach your goal through using specific hypnosis techniques and we will always review how you are feeling.

Hypnotherapy can be used on independently or combined with counselling, depending on what feels right for you. Some people prefer to use it for a specific focus, while others benefit from having some sessions of hypnotherapy and some sessions of counselling.

I am happy to discuss this with you should you have any questions or if you are considering what might suit you best. If you would like to find out more visit my contact page.
